DISTRICT SPOTLIGHT: Georgia AAU’s 2023 Betty Lowe Citizenship Award

Georgia AAU will award a total of $10,000 to students in 2023
GEORGIA (January 12, 2023) – The Georgia AAU District is giving even more value and meaning to being a member of the Amateur Athletic Union with the 2023 Betty Lowe Citizenship Award. Graduating High School Seniors who have played with AAU at any time are getting an opportunity to receive $1,000 for their continued education.
Individual awards will be given in the amount of $1,000 each to ten lucky applicants. Awards will be given to graduating High School Seniors that have participated in AAU events either currently or at any time in the past. This award is intended to assist the students with continuing education expenses at college, universities, or trade schools.
Georgia AAU is proud to assist, and to invest in, the current and former members of AAU. To apply for the 2023 Betty Lowe Citizenship Award you must be a graduating senior, and a current or past member of Georgia AAU. You can apply at www.gaaau.net.
Current or former coaches and club representatives are encourages to assist the graduating High School Senior with this application. Just as the coaches have motivated their athletes to succeed in sports, now it is time to motivate the athletes to compete for this award and succeed past sports.
