VIRIGINA BEACH, Vir. - The AAU Track and Field will wrap up its 2021 Indoor season on March 12-14 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Athletes from five years old to 18 years will get their final shot of the year for the Indoor AAU champion title. Participants will be representing 43 states from across the nation. The largest group, 407, hailing from the home state of Virginia. The second most is 186 from Maryland.
This event has been around since 2015, and for 2021, more than 1,700 athletes have registered for a chance at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. Over the three-day event competitors will test their grit both on the track and on the field, where the top eight (8) of each event will walk away with an award.
Packet Pick-Up will begin Friday, March 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, March 13 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. A packet will be provided for each team consisting of team roster and events entered. A team representative will be responsible for picking up the packets. All teams are urged to pick up packets on Friday as the lines on Saturday can be long.
The tentative schedule of running events are as follows with a rolling schedule once the first event occurs.

3000 Meter Race-walk – TF - All Age Groups Combined – 13 Year Old – 17/18 Year Old
200 Meter Dash – SF - Starting with 5-6 Year Old -17/18 Year Old – (top 8 times advance to finals)
1500 Meter Run – TF - Starting with 13 Year Old – 17/18 Year Old - (Age Groups may be combined by gender)
400 Meter Dash – SF – Starting with – 13 Year Old – 17/18 Year Old - (top 8 times advance to finals)
Saturday – March 13, 2021 This is a rolling schedule starting at 9:00AM
3000 Meter Run - TF – Starting with 11 Year Old – 17/18 Year Old - (Age Groups may be combined by gender)
200 Meter Dash – FINAL - Starting with 5-6 Year Old - 17/18 Year
800 Meter Run – TF - Starting with 7-8 year old - 17/18 Year Old
60 Meter Hurdles – SF - Starting with 11 Year Old -17/18 Year Old - (top 8 times advance to finals)

AAU Track and Field will be following local, state, and federal guidelines regarding COVID protocols for this meet. We encourage social distancing and masks are required throughout the venue. We will have sessions set up once entries have closed. In between sessions, we will clear the facility to sanitize and disinfect before the next session comes in.
