The health and well-being of athletes, coaches, and their families is always the AAU's top priority.  These are unprecedented times as we navigate the global pandemic and put our efforts towards helping to slow the spread of the disease. As gains are being made in mitigating and containing the COVID-19 ("Coronavirus") around the country,  we must still continue to proceed with care when decisions related to hosting AAU events are made and continue to follow CDC, state, and local guidelines.

In an abundance of caution, the AAU is postponing the upcoming AAU Memorial Day Basketball tournament May 22 - 25, 2020 which was to be held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida.  New dates are being researched for June and July and will be announced soon. For registered teams that cannot compete during the new dates, we encourage them to apply entry fees to the AAU World Championships (formerly AAU National Championships) beginning in July. Or, refunds may be requested.

We thank everyone for their patience and understanding and look forward to resuming scheduled basketball events when it is deemed safe to do so.
